The time is now to build an offshore wind industry in California.

This past year, California lost over a million jobs, while the climate crisis has wreaked havoc on our state with heat waves, wildfires and rolling blackouts. We need to rebuild cleaner, greener and with a focus on putting Californians back to work. Fortunately, we have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to do just that.

20-30 miles off California’s coast, our state has access to one of the world’s greatest untapped sources of renewable energy: offshore wind. The wind off our coast has the potential to meet our clean energy goals and combat climate change. With tested technology already operating around the world, our wind can jumpstart a new clean energy industry on the West Coast, with thousands of highly-skilled, good-paying jobs.

With the climate crisis, we have no time to waste. In California, we have an opportunity to lead the way.
